Trescore Balneario is situated about 15 kilometers away from Bergamo, it has always been the main center of the lower Val Cavallina.

There are remarkable architectural traces and monuments of all the epochs. In the spacious place of Trescore, with a regular scheme, the 13 Century Tower Suardi towers, restored in the eighteenth-century in the original height.

It is currently a big commercial, artistic and thermal center. In effects, it owes its renown reality to the thermal baths, known already from the Romans for their effective therapy.

They were valorized by Bartolomeo Colleoni and they have been object of numerous renovations.

Trescore is also known for a jewel: Lorenzo Lotto's frescos in the chapel Suardi placed inside the private villa of the Suardi progeny , along the Tonale government road. The cycle of frescos is devoted to the Saint Barbara and Saint Brigida histories, and it has been made on demand by the Suardi family in 1524.

Along the road that brings you to Cenate Sopra, in the place Canton, it is not difficult to see the imposing structure of Villa Terzi, one of the most complete and meaningful expressions of eighteenth-century architecture of the whole province. Going up to the hill Niardo the homonym castle can be admired.
